The residential main entrance is from one of the terraces along a pedestrian staircase that leads to the Fortress of the thirteenth century. The small apartment of about 67 square meter is part of a larger complex of monastic origin, turned into residence at the beginning of nineteenth century. Three twisted wisteria cover a small outdoor area that serves as input.

The restoration was carried out according to two principles. On one hand, the recovery has ensured the readability of the characteristics of the container rediscovering historical patterns and colors of the early ‘800 and the stratigraphy of materials. On the other hand the customized furnishings have succeeded in the possible use by the occupants, a family with a child and a cat.

philosophy

A complex research which aims to highlight the quality of architecture over any other aspect. We believe that architecture plays a meaningful role in society and that architects should be able to share the beauty they manage to create through their works, in a well mannered and considerate way: free of distractive advertisements and unpleasant commercials. Complesco is therefore a focused platform that wishes to take architecture to the highest level of consideration, believing that an appropriate selection will win over quantitative and generic architecture that is taking over the places we inhabit. Complesco is a tool to stop cheap apathy and indifference, towards a possible future of surrounding beauty.
