In the center of Palermo, Settimo Boutique Apartment seeks an unconventional accommodation concept in contrast with a standardized tourist stay experience and aimed at proposing a concept of exclusivity just like in a boutique, according to the principles of good design.
The apartment has been completely renovated and is made up of three rooms in succession, one of these is an attic, then connected to a terrace with a view.
The sleeping area is the heart of the house and is located in the attic which has a double zenithal light. Here it was necessary to work in section to be able to guarantee, together with a correct use of the spaces, an exhaustive functional program: Inside the room a volume with a trapezoidal shape is inserted which follows the shape of the roof and contains the bathroom on its two sides the sink area is inserted, with a unique custom-designed piece in Carrara marble, while on the other, the lowest, there is room for a small open wardrobe.
The bed, suspended, sits alongside the new volume which acts as a headboard while a free standing tub is placed at its foot, in perfect correspondence with the roof window.
In succession to the bedroom there is an entrance/living room space followed by the custom-designed kitchen with retractable doors, from here you have access to the terrace, paved with custom-made handmade majolica. Inside, through the insertion of reflected surfaces, space multiplies, green, chosen as the main color of the project, alternates with the warm tones of canaletto walnut which infuses warmth and elegance into the rooms.
