This apartment is the result of combining two separate units into a single residence. Situated in the suburbs of Lisbon, it was designed to accommodate a family of three and a cat.
The layout includes two entry hallways, a kitchen, a TV living room, and a relaxed living room adjacent to the dining area. There are currently three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a studio office located where the original second kitchen once stood.
While technically a three-bedroom apartment, the space is highly flexible. By closing the door connecting the master suite to the adjacent room, the office can be transformed into a fourth bedroom. Additionally, the living room offers sufficient space for a workspace, allowing the office to serve an entirely different function if needed.

The apartment was designed as a circular space, meaning residents can walk through every room in a continuous loop via connecting doors.
Regarding construction, the perimeter walls were insulated with composite plasterboard and black cork for optimal thermal and acoustic performance. Solid Brazilian cherry wood flooring was selected to complement the natural veneer wood panels, providing a warm contrast to the gray and white tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms. All kitchen and bathroom cabinetry were custom-designed and built on-site.
Simplicity remained the guiding principle from the initial concept through the completion of this project.
