The project concerns the total transformation of a 1960s apartment in the very first outskirts of Imola.
The real challenge was to obtain the right spaces for relationships but at the same time preserve the individual spaces of the couple and their 4 children. The structural part, stripped, acted as the central spine of the functional program as well as the image that characterizes the intervention.
The original black marble floor remains as a sign of the entrance while the new level of the apartment, functional for the integration of systems and underfloor heating, is mainly characterized by a small-format oak wood floor. The bathrooms and some walls are finished in resin with delicate colors: a contemporary reinterpretation of the Italian design of the years of construction of the apartment.
